Work with me

“the man could never have demonstrated alone.  He needed someone to help him hold to the vision.  This is what one man can do for another. … One gets too close to his own affairs and becomes doubtful and fearful.  The …’healer’ sees clearly the success, health, or prosperity, and never wavers, because he is not close to the situation.”  ~Florence Scovel Shinn

What Clients Are Saying

I still have more work to do to meet my weight loss goals, but I already feel a sense of accomplishment in how I now take care of myself. I successfully climbed to the top of Mt. Fuji in Japan in time to see the sunrise ! It was a hard climb, but I was able to do it because of Jenna’s help, and because of my new determination to live life to the fullest!

Jenna helped me realize I was over-thinking my interactions with others. My introversion was preventing me from socializing with anyone and it was holding me back in my career. No one is more surprised than I am that I recently made a presentation to 200 people!

Coach Jenna worked with me to become aware of my emotions and develop healthier ways to deal with them. Once I began to accept myself and deal with my emotions, it was almost as if the weight just fell off! I think more positively now and feel more empowered to enjoy my life! I have stopped wasting energy focusing on food and the things I felt I couldn't do because of my size. I would recommend Jenn to anyone wishing to develop better fitness and lifestyle habits.

Additional Information

Life coaching is a rapidly expanding field. Life coaches offer assistance to individuals who appreciate the value of having the support of an objective listener to help make their lives more manageable and enjoyable.

The coaching relationship provides a unique structure for offering support and encouragement. Unlike traditional psychotherapy, coaching is usually a much less time-consuming process with defined timeframes. Coaching focuses on your strengths and helps you define your current goals.

The job of a life coach is to act as a catalyst for change. A coach helps to draw forth a client’s belief system and goals to see where he or she may be stuck. The coach helps the client to create a plan for action. The client always remains responsible for creating change in his or her life, with the coach serving as an integral part of his or her support system.

Change can be very difficult or very easy. It is often feared and, therefore, very difficult. I believe fear of the unknown and the lack of a strong support system hinder change. Change can be long-lasting, especially if it is something we have worked hard to achieve. Flexibility is vital in the process of change. Often, we will set out on a path toward change and find we need to adjust our plans as we move toward the goal. This just enhances the learning experience!

People create change by altering their thoughts, actions, beliefs, and behaviors. Sometimes, change is borne out of necessity. Other times, people have been “stuck” and uncomfortable with some aspect of their lives and finally decide to make lasting changes.

Often, simply using your coach as a sounding board proves to be invaluable. The accountability, support, and encouragement offered by the coaching relationship are often strong motivators. The results are extraordinary!
